Thanks BobTheGardener will take a look on their site. That many varieties would take up most of my veg patch. I made the mistake of sowing to many tomato seeds and couldn't stand to throw any away so planted the lot, idiot that I am.
Pete.8 now your making me hungry, I have the mozzarella and basil but the tomatoes are not ready. How big are Costoluto Fiorentino, I thought they were just a bit bigger than a normal tomato. Hope they will be good for cooking so they can be used to make paste for Pizza, also soup plus other things. Next year will be interesting with tomato's I'll have to put them in amongst the flowers, well that's where the beetroots are at the moment.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's dinner - my first tomato salad of the summer - much later than usual this year. I remember Monty holding one of his Costoluto Fiorentino in both hands - it looked delicious and he was full of praise about the taste. Often the fruits are smaller too though. I grew Black Russian (beefsteak) toms. a few years ago. One tomato weighed in at over 700g, lovely as it was the beefsteak toms are generally too big for me unless I intend freezing or cooking them. I make lots of Greek beans with tomatoes (Fasolakia) when the glut arrives as I don't like frozen runner beans or frozen French beans but they work really well with the toms in Fasolakia and I make enough to last until the following summer. It's so good in the depths of winter to defrost some to go with a pork chop or similar and the smell of proper tomatoes takes me back to summer immediately.

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
Late is one big tomato Pete.8. Will google (Fasolakia) as we're not a big fans of potato and if whatever is eating my bean flowers leave some to grow I'll give it a try. After tasting the few pea's (just enough for one meal each, they didn't do well) we're not fans of frozen veg any more and never have like frozen beans, broccoli or cauliflower. I like my veg to have a little bit of a bite even after cooking not soft and soggy which is what happens with frozen veg.
Frozen veg is better roasted @NannaBoo , no soggy mess but with a nutty crunch instead. Some of us have no choice as we either can't grow them or haven't the room.
