Tranquility

All the hard work has been done, all the garden is done by me only. My wonderful hubby makes me lunch and endless cups of tea on a daily basis. I love my garden, the wildlife that comes into it, the peace, the colours, the calmness, the deep feelings it gives you. I feel safe and like I am completely wrapped up in cotton wool.

    That is truly beautiful little garden. Just keep it as it is, which will mean you get a good hedge-trimmer to make sure the trees don't encroach, but don't do anything till the spring when you can see where the danger areas are going to be.   Good luck and enjoy tour little paradise.

    It’s pretty but too closed in for me, I love to see a far reaching view. 
    Lovely little wild patch there.

    if the alternative is seeing lots of houses and losing privacy, I'd take " closed in"

    So would I,but you have to have a far reaching view in the first place!
    I am surrounded by houses so have tried to make my own garden 'closed in'.
    I would also like a wood,a flower meadow,mature trees,a stream,100 acres,a bog,a natural lake etc. but we have to work with what we have and take pleasure from that just like @Jacqueline29 has done so well!!

    Thank you for your nice comments everyone, and Lyn each to their own in respect to their gardens. The decking is right at the back of our garden, and behind that are houses, so we prefer not to have neighbours looking into our garden. We see them enough in the winter when everything dies back. As you can see below, this is what the garden did look like, and you can see the property at the back. We also have properties either side of us. I am not complaining at all about neighbours, but we do not live in an open spaced place. There is a road at the front of our house that is constantly busy, (of which I had the misfortune of nearly being in hospital, because of an idiot driver last week). So everyone has their own likes and dislikes, this is my sanctuary and I am more then happy with it. Happy gardening you lovely people.

    How do you manage to have such tall growth either side without the neighbours complaining about lack of sunlight ? I'd love to have what you have . I am surrounded by houses so neighbours can see my every move.
