What is the name of this wild plant?

Probably something very common, but I haven’t seen it before.

    It could be Pokeweed, Phytolacca Americana or Acinosa.

    Thank you! I looked it up and it seems like a stubborn plant. I will wait a bit and dig it up then.

    Well yes... but only if eaten raw ... in other parts of the world it is grown and harvested as a good crop https://www.survival-manual.com/edible-plants/pokeweed.php

    Looks like pokeweed to me, also.  I have one growing at our getaway cabin property.  They can get quite large over time.  Mine is already setting berries at 3' height.  I've never tasted pokeweed myself, but my father said he did when his mother was living, and it was safe so long as you boiled the greens 3 times, and rinsed well, changing water with each boiling.  He said it tastes very good, similar to spinach.  I even saw a video last year that said if the berries are cooked a long time, and 1 water change is done, you can make jelly/jam with the strained off purple juices.  Again, I've not tried that either, but I may some day now that I have one.

    Thank you all for your information, I will let it flower and fruit and will admire the berries, but the triple boiling thing.. I pass on that.
