Alliums and Dierama

Has anyone any idea if these can be planted in the same container please?

  • I don't know for certain, but Alliums are quite easy to grow in a border or container. I cannot get Dierama to flower at all.

Dierama needs sunny but moist conditions. I think alliums would need more free draining, dryer soil. My diorama flowers its socks off planted at my pond.

I can't see Dierama being happy in a pot . They have a pretty vigorous root system

    I agree!
  •  I bought the Dierama at Tatton Park Flower Show where I was told they are happy in pots. I think I will be planting them in a border after all. Many thanks for your helpful comments.
