Bamboo Indocalamus tessellata beige/white leaf tips

Hi

I have the bamboo above in a reasonable sized plastic pot fora couple of years , but have a problem with the leaf tips becoming beige/white and wilted. Can any one advise as how to remedy this. I do feed the bamboo with some lawn fertiliser now and again and use water from the tap to water with.

Thank you

Could we see some photos please?

if they don’t upload, reducing the size usually works.

I agree with @philippa smith2. If you haven't got a bigger pot, I'd lift it out and add more compost as the level has dropped a lot. It looks only half full from the first photo.

  • Ok thanks for your advice .  Is it best to have crocks in the bottom of the pot as drainage etc ? How often should I feed ?

    Thanks

I'd not worry about crocks and when you re-pot it, the new compost will have enough feed in it for the end of this season
