Help with melon growing .

I have grown melons for a number of years from seed.I usually leave them to do their own thing and I get melons .I've grown them inside and out..I leave them to do there own thing.this year I bought a grafted melon.ahh I've just t read the label which came with it.stop the plant after 7 leaves. To encourage the side shoots to produce strong fruiting.

Now I'm wondering what to do? Any help out there please , what should I do ?????
