Pest ID Please

We've had devastating damage to most of our vegetables for the 2nd year running.  Could this be the culprit?  Any ideas what it is?  It's about 5mm in length and didn't budge when I moved the leaf to photograph it. All veg and fruit leaves have been attacked/eaten.  Many thanks for any help.

    It looks like one of the leaf beetles but I'm not sure which one. They do some damage but generally only to one or 2 specific plant species. Chances are you have multiple pests. Can you give a better description of the damage or photos?
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    He’s eaten a hole right through the leaf, problem is, you don’t want to spray your crop so the only chance is to pick them off.
