Tall stakes

The hollyhock I have is the best part of 8ft tall now and is at about its limit in the wind.

I staked it with a 6ft bamboo cane not expecting it to get quite so tall.

Does anyone know of a good supplier for more sturdy stakes, say an inch diameter and 9/10ft long?

Or add an extension to your existing pole and bind the two poles together thoroughly where they overlap......just a thought.

I bought some from the Range last week they were 8ft I think the were 6 for just under £4 could be wrong but they are 8 foot. Also B&Q do them but can't remember the price.
  • The first one is what I consider to be the better one's as the are the same thickness all the way down the cain. 10 per pack. https://www.diy.com/departments/verve-canes-set-of-10/3663602423461_BQ.prd?rrec=truehttps: sorry can't get the link to work so you'll have to copy and paist.

This one is from the Range SKU 122490 6 pack and gets thinner from top to bottom.

Hope this is of some help.
