You’re right Ceres and we’re paying a service charge here, we didn’t have to do that at school.
i have sneaked a lean to greenhouse on the side of the flat no one can see and I do have my own patio which is filled with pots, not allowed to grow veg but in true Geoff Hamilton style I’ve hidden some tomatoes and salad and herbs among the flowers.
we’ve also installed our full size table tennis table in the communal lounge and our 15ft canoe is parked in the car park.
i’ll be outside the head teachers’ office soon to get detention!
I recommend you buy a drum kit.......unless there are rules about musical intruments too.
  • Well - actually — there are rules about musical instruments in the flats, but it’s a brilliant idea and I’ve broken all the other rules. Thinking about getting a Newfoundland puppy, we’re not allowed pets either!

Wasn't there a sitcom? I think it was Waiting for God. It might give you a few pointers.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • Brilliant programme B3, the writers must have spent some time here!
we’re on the list for an allotment, only 12 people before us on the waiting list, so maybe next year.
its not that bad here, 5 minutes walk to the beach and we have our health and strength.
Thanks for all your suggestions, both for the holes in the garden and our lifestyle.
Still think the pirate idea is the best one.

Set a trap ... you could put some sea biscuits and a glass of rum on a garden bench and watch 🧐 to see who is inexorably drawn to them ... ☠️🦜

  • Great great idea Dove, but that begs the question then, ‘what do I do with a drunken sailor?’

🤔 Well, if it’s early in the morning you could put him in a longboat ‘til he’s sober ...  🏴‍☠️

  • We have our canoe, that’s quite long!

    Well you’re sorted then 👍

especially as an alternative is to shave his belly with a rusty razor ... 😱

  • I don’t mind the boat bit, but not sure about the belly and the razor, I think I’d rather just keep the holes!
