Egg/poo/something id please?

A friend spotted this on a hellebore leaf in Scotland. We've tried to work out what it is but with no joy. Any ideas please?

    Hellebore seeds.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

OK, I shall sneak out now feeling a little stupid :D Nothing like missing the obvious, is there!!! I'm blaming it on the fact that she thought they were eggs....

    Thanks wild edges :)

I've got hellebores growing under a bird feeder and more than once I've though there were mouse or rat droppings under there only to find they're seeds when I look more closely. It's an easy mistake to make.  :#
