How to start with a Water Lilly

1945crewood1945crewood Posts: 170
Until a few days ago I wasn't aware you could have Water Lillies in tubs but now I've seen one and would love to have one in my garden. Where to begin is the problem.

I know it's a pretty open question but could anyone please advise how to start with Water Lillies? Any special variety, planting, water changes, so many questions. Any help or advice would be most appreciated.

You need to start with the"tub" you're planning to use.
The size dictates much about your options.
    Generally, the bigger the better

Thanks for the reply, I should have mentioned I have a couple of black plastic tubs that are new and never been used. They measure roughly 20" across the top and about 15" deep.

    Would they be to small?

Some miniature lilies only have a spread of about 30cm If you make sure you pick the smallest varieties it should just be possible!
    Try this

I don't know the company personally, just pointing out the kind of Lily needed
