Pomegranate not flowering. Leaves going brown

This is a pic of my pomegranate tree.   I've had it for 4 years and it hasn't flowered once. What am I doing wrong. Plus now the leaves are going brown. Help!

    Hello again, look to some of the things I mentioned about your rose. The browning I am not sure of, it looks like sun scorch, but as pomegranates need lots of sun and warmth and can take as much heat as you can give them, that doesn’t add up. Maybe lack of deep watering at the base (not on the leaves) or a regular, balanced feed again, 2-3 times a year? Make sure its not standing in water though if you have it on a pot tray, water deeply and allow to drain - put it on pot feet if you haven’t already. It will need a good sheltered, but sunny spot and bringing in over winter as they don’t take kindly to frost and will suffer the effects more in a pot.

    I planted two x two-year old pomegranate trees two years ago. One has flowered for the first time this year, the other has yet to flower, so nothing to worry about there, it should hopefully flower for you next year. 

    Prune off any suckers from the base and any side shoots that develop up the trunk to concentrate the plant’s energies into the main canopy.

    Where is it growing and what sort of growing medium/soil is it in?

    How much water is it getting?  It’s often thought that plants from the Mediterranean area don’t need a lot of water however I’ve found that what they need is plenty of water coupled with a very free draining compost.  

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Is it in a pot? It looks very overcrowded and needs some water. I've never seen them grown in the UK but they were common where we lived in SW France where they were 'trees'.

    All good advice so far. The leaves look like scorching from the sun when watering/spraying overhead. Always water from below into the soil. Especially when the sun is out. They will recover, so not an issue. Do feed them, at this time of year, and even though it is considered to be a plant that doesn't need much water, it's not good to water small amounts. When it is this hot, water every other day at least. Make sure there is no competition around the base and most importantly, keep them in full sun preferably with south wall protection. Hopefully they should start flowering.

    I was given small 5cm tall sticks the year before, and they flowered at only 10cm tall in height in its first summer. Maybe yours just need the right soil and more sun.
