Looks like a tradescantia. Maybe zebrina or something like that.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Ive got one of them, a friend gave me a piece, put it in water till it rooted, grows pretty quick.

Can I suggest you nip of the ends, it will make it more bushy

I’d cut it back by half and cut each clipping into half again, put them all into a jar of water as has been said ... soon you’ll have a house full 😊
