Digging / Ridging hoe to clear oveegrown wood chip path (recommendations)?
My neighbour had raised beds surrounded by wood chip path for 'low maintenance'. (Low maintenance gardens are anything but)
The property has been empty a few years, the wood chips have rotted to compost and weeds, mostly long grass have firmly rooted in and seed into the beds and my garden.
I don't have access to a strimmer/weedbeater, a European scythe wouldn't fit , though perhaps a yoyo weedcutter of the type they use in Cool Hand Luke might fit if it has a narrow head.
I was thinking of buying a digging hoe to break up the weeds but try to keep the geomembrane intact.
I can't find a good brand though. hickory handle, keyed eye of similar size to a proper pickaxe, good forged steel, some weight behind it, long handle (I'm 1.83m and find most tools in the shops too short).
The Chillington ones come with Eucalyptus handles I'm advised (which are brittle), not ash or - better still - hickory.
The FPL Carter though they have an ash handle, which is not as good as hickory for striking tools do not have a wide range obly the model 2 LB.
I'm not too enamoured with these brand tools having such a small eye and with the eyes not being keyed to inhibit rotation.
SHW brand look decent but I can't find a UK seller.
Are there any good models of digging & ridging hoes out there?

None of my neighbours have weedy gardens so where do my weeds come from!
All the grass would have rooted through the membrane into the soil below so just hoeing off the top will not stop it regrowing
