  He's got a good article all about his garden and book in this month's BBC Wildlife magazine. I love his writing so can't wait to get this new book. I'm not sure I'm in the mood for doom and gloom right now but some garden inspiration would be nice.

  Longest recipe I've ever seen in my life. Seems like a good read. Will have to keep an eye out for it when it's available here.

  I'm finally getting around to reading this book but I must say it should be compulsary reading for all gardeners. It's packed full of useful information about insects in the garden and the wider picture of farming and pesticide use etc which I think will be helpful for all of us. Dave Goulson is a specialist in bees so there's some good parts about them and especially solitary bees and bug hotels which has answered a lot of questions I had anyway. All of Goulson's books have been really good reads, heavy in the subject but with a light, humorous and easy to read writing style and plenty of positives to balance the inevitable negatives of climate change and threats to insects.
