autumn raspberries - which suckers to keep/chop
in Fruit & veg
I planted autumn raspberries 2 years ago and after cutting them down in winter, they've gone on to produce so many new growths. I didn't know what to do with them this year, so just left them all, but the space seems very overcrowded! Next year, how should I choose which ones to keep and which ones to get rid of to ensure the best yield please?
Many thanks:)

"Cut back all the old, fruited canes to ground level in February. New canes will start growing in spring. These will bear fruit for you later in the year.
Reduce the number of canes slightly in summer if they are very overcrowded. Thin to around 10cm (4in) apart."
