I plant out Nero de Toscana about 60-75cm apart they do get to be big plants by autumn and up to about 120cm tall

I grew nero once, sowed the seeds direct in a raised bed, and just thinned them at regular intervals and ate the thinnings.  I ended up with about five plants and picked leaves off them.  Sadly, no-one liked it but me, and I didn't like it much.  But it was very easy to grow and kept on giving, well into the autumn.

    Thank you!
I’m the only one who eats it too so will only grow a couple of plants- good idea about the thinnings! I will freeze any excess. 😬
