Just what I was thinking @wild edges. They're very easy usually - pull bits off and stick them in a pot. Birds with fledgelings will eat lots of aphids, and all those little insects are part of a bigger picture, grai, so it's worth trying to build up a whole eco system if you can. Your garden will be much more attractive to a bigger variety of species that way, and will give even more pleasure
