Anyone successfully grown potatoes from the berries?

i am sure one of you lovely experienced peeps have been successful . I collected only 2 berries last year and followed complicated online instructions but nothing grew. This year there are loads of berries - if a lot smaller- and I would like to try again. Any helpful advise would be appreciated.

They are not ripe, so the seed will not grow. Unless you want a new variety, potatoes are vegetatively propagated by tubers. That way the result will be the same as the parent.Even with ripe seeds, you could get a huge variation in the result.

Thanks I suspected that was the case but they were being eatenn by something and disappearing one by one so I thought I needed to harvest them. Oh well never mind.

I think they are poisonous, don't leave them near children or dogs.
