Potted olive trees yellow leaves falling off

hi looking for some advice as to how save my olive trees which look like they are on their way out.

they had begun turning yellow and looked dry so I watered them and they’re still very yellow and losing a lot of leaves. Could I have over watered? 

Is there anything I can do to save them?
