New Yew Hedge turning brown

Hi, any help appreciated. I planted a new yes hedge in autumn, there has been good early growth, however I notice that some of the plants have started to go brown starting with the new growth.

i have been watering all year once per week with drip hose left on overnight.

any ideas?
