Agapanthus - long stems

GrajeanGrajean Posts: 447
My agapanthus are flowering for the first time (not grown these before) and the stems are very long with a small bud. The stems are quite rigid but growing out from the pot so can't stake them. Is this usual?

  • They shouldn't need staking, judging on the ones I've inherited. Maybe you can get a hoop to support them, if they need it.

Have you got them near a wall so they have to lean towards the sun?
