HELP! The leaves of our peach tree (7ft tall sapling, grown indoors) are turning brown at the edges. Also a few have holes in them and look slightly withered. What is wrong with our tree and how do we cure it? Beginner tree parents (couple) - first co-ownership of an organism. V important. Tree's name is Penelope (Peregrine Peach) and we love her very much. Have been watering when topsoil feels dry, and using multipurpose fertiliser (nitro rich).

  • Well she's in rather sunny riverside Wapping with open curtains. But we'll put her outside on the balcony on very warm sunny days and maybe invest in a lamp. Thank you! If anyone has any more ideas about the brown edges would be very much appreciated as they're definitely the most prevalent issue at the moment.

Peach trees that are grown for containers are grown on a dwarf rootstock, yours looks as if it is on semi vigorous one not suitable for container growing. Your tree is too tall for the pot it is in and would love to be freed from the cane it is tied to.
  • Thank you!! We will get a much larger pot and free her. Any suggestions for the kind of soil she'd like? Have put her under the skylight
