Carrots and the plastic container they were grown in.

Just pulled my first crop of carrots which have been grown in plastic container. What I wanna know is can I re use the soil for my second bunch of carrots. Many thanks. X

Carrots don't need a lot of nutrients so if the first batch show no sign of carrot fly you should be ok if you mix-in and top up the level with a bit of fresh compost. An occasional liquid feed (eg seaweed extract) will help later in the season.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Hi Bob, carrots look good, what depth was the container?
