    This this pot is 5.5 inches diameter and 7 inches deep.

    It looks healthy but small so I'd grow it on and not plant it out till next spring or maybe even next autumn, depending on how big it gets in the meantime.

    I'll take your advice and leave it for another season, potting on when it looks root bound, ready for planting out when it looks "fuller", if you see what I mean. I think you have confirmed what I was thinking really, that it was still a bit immature for putting in the ground. 
    Thank you for your help. I'm glad the photo worked - I'm really pretty 'green' when it comes to anything technological!  :D:)
    Im only just getting to grips with smiley faces!
