I would repot it and leave the stones off for now so that you can judge how damp the soil is and whether the plant needs water. What you do is poke your finger down into the soil. If it feels warm and dry, you need to water it. If it feels cool and damp, it doesn't need watering. It should never feel actually wet.
I'd clear those stones away from the stems - they shouldnt be right up against them.
It also looks as if there's one stem damaged, and the rest looks fine in the photo. Is that right, or is it the photo? That could be a completely separate issue from watering too much/not watering enough, and could be pest or weather damage, or even those stones breaking a fragile stem.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
