  • I have petrol and battery, both long reach, Stihl.  I like using both, but the battery one (HLA 65) is a delight to use - quiet, obviously switches on and off 'at the press of a button' or 'release of the same' and is well balanced. Yes, the batteries are weighty, but the balance makes up for that. I rarely use the shoulder strap. What I would say is that it's quite a bit of money for a garden hedge that only needs cutting once or twice a year. I use both of mine professionally, sometimes on quite thick material, no problem.  The battery one lasts all day (I've never had it run down in a day's work yet).  Batteries for the HLA 65 are about £160.  The charger is another £60 plus and the hedgetrimmer unit ONLY is about £225 - £250

  • When I was searching for a good cordless hedge trimmer I thought:
"I don't like to be getting hit in the face with bushes walking around my yard"
"I don't want to get yelled at for my bushes scratching someone's garbage truck"
"And I'm too busy to adopt my own goats"
Just funny things but this really helped me when I told that to a seller :) He suggested me to buy a WORX WG261. I was confused because 22" seemed to me too big but now I think it is the right size for this unit.
In comparison to Scotts HT10020S (20", corded), it doesn't run out of charge even after 45 minutes of usage (for me it is enough). It is lightweight. It cuts through bushes like butter so I may say it is easy to use (I even chopped through some branches that are thicker than 3/4 inches across with no problems). Just worth its price.
Oh, yes, and it's cordless
