Identify this tree
Can anyone tell me the name of this beauty - it smells in the early summer, gives red berries. I rubbed my forehead (don't ask) against it's bough/leaves last week and ended up in hospital for 4 days with severe infection (could it have been caused by an insect on the tree?)

I cannot think of any insect that just lives on this tree.
Bark may be full of fungus, bacteria, insects...any of which could cause infection if the skin is broken.
