fruit trees

Hi, I have several different fruit trees in patio pots and want to repot them into bigger pots and wondered if anyone can tell me the best time of year to do this please.
Thank you,
Diane.

I have no doubt that someone will say this is wrong but.....if it is already in a pot, you aren't likely to disturb the roots too much when you repot so in my book, you can do this when you fancy. I have fig trees and they get repotted whenever I feel it is a good idea.

I would wait a few more months. They go dormant in winter. Once they start losing their leaves they will be far less stressed by a repot than now in the middle of their growth season.

Hi, I have 2 Victoria plum trees in large containers. They are 3 years old and this is the first year I have had flowers on them which have developed into fruit. I had about 20 plums on them but I am now down to 4. They seemed to get just a bit bigger than a marble and then drop off. I have been giving them a good soaking twice a week and feeding them once a fortnight. Does anyone know what the problem might be. I would be grateful for any help. Thank you, Diane

It's quite normal for young fruit trees to drop the fruit, plums especially which don't usually start cropping properly until they are about 5yo.  Count any remaining fruit as a bonus this year, but it is good news that they have started flowering this young, so I would expect a much better crop next year.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
