    I’d never looked at that thread before either.....and never will again.  Can you mute a thread?   And can you alter settings so threads display by most recent post first?

    Why would you need to mute it? It's not hard to avoid.

    I don’t like any of the threads where a fairly small number of posters bat comments to and fro among themselves. It seems a bit clique-y to me and I do not want to join in. However if the participants enjoy them then what difference does it make to me? I am happy to ignore them. What I do not like about the ‘Have a giggle’ thread is the misleading advertising - it is very rarely funny. What I do like is it shows robust opposition to Brexit; readers of the Mail, Express and Telegraph need reminding sometimes there are alternative viewpoints. Calling the thread vile is not something I agree with although the comparison with Nazi Germany was, in my view, a mistake. Arguments which employ this line are almost always diminished as a consequence.

    As a new member I was just intrigued by the title but surprised to log into that discussion.  I thought I was on the wrong website at first!
