Overwatered Echeveria

Looks like i’ve Overwatered an Echeveria I got. The stem is brown and rotting in the middle. There is new leaves at the top but a lot of leaves around the bottom easily fall off. Is there any way I can save this? If so, what should I do. The stem at the bottom is still hard, should I cut the stem below this? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

    I would take off the very tip and let the cut callous over for a few days and then pot into gritty compost.Don't water until you know it has rooted and then sparingly.
    You could also take leaf cuttings if they are firm and not rotten.
    There also seem to be a couple of tips (to the bottom left) that might also grow.
    Chuck the rest of the plant away!

    But I would also cut off the rotten middle bit of the stem. It should sprout from below that. But it will take a few years to get back to a half decent plant so I would just throw it all away - hardly worth the bother. If you do intend to try and resurrect the dead, make sure it is all potted in an open gritty compost which will give it freer drainage.
