Rhododendron advice

Please can anyone help? My rhododendron looks like its possibly dying?  I've given it a good water but all the new leaves are wilting and the old leaves are developing brown patches?

    Hello,
     This could be due to the extreme hot summer we had last year followed by a very cold winter. They don't like too much hot, direct sunlight. Also as its in a pot it might not have had sufficient water through dry periods. They need a good soaking of water.
    Over fertilisation can also be the cause when its in a pot, if the fertiliser has not been washed down to the roots.
    Deadhead it but be careful not to take off new growth and clear the damaged leaves.
    Keep it well watered and it should be ok.
