Old Bramley apple tree leaves are curling

Hi
we have a very old - although I have no idea how old - Bramley apple tree.
Some of its leaves have started to curl and go brown. There is some
light white fluff which when you take off feels a little sticky. Am really worried - can anyone help me understand what’s wrong and how I can help it? Have also notice a few of these bugs on it?!?

The bug is a good guy it's a ladybird larvae and will later become a ladybird which will eat things like greenfly. Lucky you if you have lots of them.

Sorry only answer half your question I think the leaf curl could be due to a moth but I'm not sure. someone on here should be able to help you.

I think you’ve got some aphids on your tree ... they’ve sucked sap from the leaves and made them curl, and the honeydew secreted by the aphids is making the leaves sticky ... but don’t worry ... those ladybird larvae have come to the rescue and will be munching their way through your aphids. Isn’t Nature wonderful? ... and it’s all happening in your garden 😊  🐞👍
