Why are my antirrinum dying

I researched about deadheading & maintaining antirrinum & followed instructions to cut dead flowers down to next new growth and remove seed pods on those stalks still in flower. But since then the leaves have all turned brown & there is no new regrowth this. Can anyone advise please
