    My Geum (a red one, I am not sure about the variety) has been looking good for the last four weeks. It is in poor sandy soil, not enriched, never fed and never watered. I also have one self-seeded in a different location with better soil and it struggles to establish itself. No idea what to advise.

    I wonder of a Blazing Sunset or Mrs Bradshaw would be orange for me, things tend to be paler in my heat... is BS a true red @a1154 or an orangey red?

    My Geum. Borisii has managed to reflower despite only being partially recovered from being more or less totally defoliated by sawfly larvae. Ok, it's only one flower but I give it credit for trying...
  • Thank you Anni, may well do that

    @Nollie, personally l would describe it as an orangey red, others may disagree !
    @Ginny Barker , no problem  :)

    Good to know, @AnniD, thanks. It often seems than orange versions of some plants are less vigorous than the yellow ones. I believe Totally Tangerine is a good one, but would be too pale and wan looking here.
