Hi there,

Would anyone be able to tell me what this red flowered plant is please? I assume it’s a weed as don’t remember planting anything like it!

    Looks like a salvia of some kind, possibly self-seeded.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Oh wow, many thanks for the quick responses everyone! In that case I might leave it be, I’ve read that bees like it and it looks quite happy.

    Monarda, known as bee balm. Often get mildewed in dryish soil.
