  Hello Lowreydiane and welcome to the forum. It could be one of the Viburnum family but I wouldn't like to stake my life on it. What were the flowers like as I'm assuming they have been and gone?

  Thank you! Yes they have, but before my brother moved in in late spring.

  Apparently it now has some new buds, so more when they open. 😄

  Definitely not that one Lowreydiane. From the leaf size it could be Viburnum rhytidophyllum.
