"Prune" Gunnera Manicata?
Hi all!! Question: is it advisable to prune a young Gunnera Manicata in some way in this season? I read somewhere(of course I forgot where....) cutting off the leaf the closest to the ground about every 2-3 weeks makes them stronger and grow more firmly. Thanks in advance for your advice and greetings from Belgium!!

They grow enormous.
Often planted near ponds and streams.
As Posy has mentioned protect the growing point/root in winter by making a wigwam with the old leaves.
