It looks like one of the salvias ... are the leaves aromatic when you rub them between your fingers?

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I agree with Dovefromabove. This one looks like Salvia Greggii 'Blue Note'.

Yes the leaves are aromatic when you rub them, thanks for the answers we have been trying to find out what this plant was for ages!
