    Oh sorry about that, it looks plainer than some of ours, sorry not being rude about your lovely fern :) 
    I only grow a couple of very divided ones, labels are a mile long divisilobum plumosum group.  so I forget there are more simple ones, sorry..
    How deep do you want me to dig my hole. :p:D

    Your right Rubytoo the male fern started growing in the space between the rocks underneath and it’s proving difficult to dislodge.

    Thanks for all your responses guys. I was able to look online to confirm that it is as you say a Polystichum setiferum with a sneaky Dryopteris underneath which I knew about but thought I’d eradicated it. They propagate all over my garden but are a nice weed to have. I’ve seen in my browsing a couple of varieties of PS that look very similar to what I’ve got.

    Im a bit shame faced about not knowing the Wall flower, it being so common and all but hey ho.

    This is a good site, I wish I’d discovered it years ago
