Query regarding plant seen on show

Is there another name for the Hardboiled Egg Plant seen on yesterday's show? Can't find it on a Google search by that name.

    I haven't watched yet but maybe poached egg plant, Limnanthes douglasii?
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    Yes Limanthes douglassii was on the programme last night.  

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Yes - the German lady with the wildlife friendly allotment mentioned this one - is that what you meant @jorieallen2 ?

    No wonder I got nothing from Google but hard boiled egg recipes. got it wrong , it should have been poached egg! HAHA!Thanks again.

    And how awful was it that the GW crew thought they needed to subtitle the German ecologist...middle England can't deal with a German accent? She was very easy to understand.

    They do that here for regional accents. 

    I used to grow the poached egg plant, they seed very freely, but they are pretty and the wildlife like them. Sadly yet another seed I can't source in G C's here.

    I've just sown some more poached egg plant seeds today - I don't know if the last lot germinated and were nibbled by snails, pigeons, etc as I can't remember where I sowed them!  Hopefully they'll appear at some point this summer.

    I get my GW the next day in the US with a BritBox subscription. If there were subtitles, they were not activated. Thanks for the discussion on these, I am excited to get some seeds and try to grow them here.
