Weed ID/Solution

Hi all,

I used to have a company treating my lawn, but decided that I could save some money
etc by doing it myself. But I just cannot get rid of what I believe is a weed.

I've been using a lawn weed and feed, but it will just not shift this. If anyone
knows what it is and maybe the best solution to get rid.

Hallo SMOk, and welcome to the forum.

I can't download your photos.  Can you try posting them directly rather than using a link?  If you click on the icon that looks like a mountain range, you can then type in the file no. of your photo, browse, or drag and drop.  Then the picture will appear as part of your message.

Sorry about that. The file was to big for the site.

Here's what I was on about:

I think you have Rumex Acetosella, Sheep's Sorrel. Maybe your soil is sandy and quite acidic. They thrive in those conditions and will spread through runners. If weedkillers are not effective, look into liming your soil. You can get this in many good garden centres, and used as a top dressing.

The area I live is mostly sandy and there is a few sand quarries, so this seems to make sense. I really appreciate the help and advice. I shall ask at the garden center.

    Regards
