why does my top to bottom clematis not bloom

they are 3-4 years old now. i took them as cuttings and are now quite large. they are in a large tub and watered quite well, also fed with liquid feed. any ideas?

    Sorry, but I don't understand the question.
    What do you mean by 'top to bottom' ?

    If you have clematis cuttings all together in a pot, they won't be growing well. They should have a pot each, potting them on as they grow and fill each one. Deep pots should be used to accomodate their roots. A 3 or 4 yr old clematis should be of a good size and maturity, and would have been ready for planting out a long time ago.

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
