Potted this new Hydrangea petiolaris in a pot several months ago. It was doing well but has recently developed discolouration. It is in shade most of the day and gets a few hours of afternoon sun. The compost feels moist but not wet. Recent heavy rain has meant it has been sitting in water. Could this be the problem?
Hope it's in a very big pot, they are quite rampant plants to try to grow in a pot. You can add some pot feet to help it drain, anyway, but they generally like being moist. The damage looks more environmental to me...wonder if the cold snap of a few weeks back and the strong winds affected the leaves.
