Ground cover plants

Have had these growing in my beds since we moved in. Have been asked on another thread their names but haven't a clue. Could you wonderful people help. Thankyou.

    Think it’s a campanula, but don’t know which one.

    I think that's No2 but the 1st is definitely different

    Yes what Nanniemo said. I can't remember whether it is poshskyana or portenslagiana.
    Sorry you will have to check the spelling, but those names or near as will find both types I think one has hairier leaves than the other.

    The first one has long stems that hang to the ground and the petals open all the way to the stem. The second is much more compact,  small leaves and bell shaped flowers

    Well they both look the same to me. I’ve just been out to look through my labels to see which ones I have but can’t find them. These are mine in the pics below.

    The second one seems to have much smaller leaves. That is the campanula I have and it grows up the wall - very pretty. I know it's name starts with a p...….

    I think you are right, they are two different campanulas. I had the first one (long stems, multiple flowers on one stem) in my previous property and I think it is c. poscharskyana.
    The second one (one flower per stem) could be c. portenschlagiana and it is what I have in my current house (unless I have carpatica, I am not sure and google images are confusing).

    I agree @edhelka it is confusing. Having checked photo 2 is definitely campanula portenschlagiana, but the growth habit of picture 1is different . Two more pictures to explain the difference.

    I agree with Edhelka. Slightly different habit with the more paler purple one (1st picture) in that it trails very well as well as scramble upwards, but both very similar.

    The second photo, the leaves are much more serrated and nearly always more darker green.
