Identify please.

Google identified this as Canada Goldenrod. Is it correct identification? I have also read that they are invasive. If so it got to go. Thank you all in advance.

    Probably best to wait until flowering for an accurate ID !

    Looks vaguely familiar but I can't quite place it :/.  If you can wait until it flowers and then post another pic, we'll probably do better.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    I don’t think that’s a willow herb,  have you sowed any seeds this year or even last year? 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    @Lyn, I haven't sowed any seeds this year or last year,before that if previous owners did or not that I can't say. I am waiting for flowers. Hopefully they are not weed or invasive type. I will post the pictures once it flowers. Thank you all for help.
