Black aphids killing cypress - help

hi, I watch my italian cypresses carefully and remove all signs of cocoons and caterpillars but now one seems to be succumbing to black aphid attack. I’ve been spraying with diluted fairy for a few weeks but their progress continues. I don’t want to lose the tree I’ve spent 3 years growing. Any advice before it’s too late?

thank you.

  • I would try a few drops of neem oil in your soapy water, tends to kill aphids very quickly.

  • Thanks amancalledgeorge. I’ve not come across been oil before. Where do you get it from? A quick google shows it as an essential oil...?
