Starting out

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a cheap but good starting out kit that i can buy online.  Nothing cheap that it bends easily something more heavy duty.  Wanted as a gift for the wife who has just started getting into our new garden.

Thanks

    Presumably you mean tools?

    something like this maybe?

Spear & Jackson Kew Gardens 3056KEW Stainless Steel Gift Set (3-Piece) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CV8HMWS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_yQNcDbE1PCKK4

For spades & fork I got ladies versions from Homebase and very nice they are too. Larger tools might be best bought individually.

Argos has a beginner set for £20 that has good reviews.

I'd visit car boot sales. You often find nice, older, ( better made ?? ) garden tools there for very little money.

Look on and maybe put a want ad on freecycle.

I suggest getting a border fork and spade rather than the conventional larger ones ... much easier to use in flower borders etc and much kinder to her back. 😊
