Fascinating. Thanks for the link. Storms heading towards London; it looks like Caen area has had a very loud evening. And we in N8 might be in for a loud night. I hope so. The wind is rising.

There’s a free app call RainToday that I like as tells you whether it will rain in next hour - very useful when planning to walk the dog!  And shows you satellite map of the clouds heading your way.

I usually use my nose, check how high the swifts are flying and look to see whether it’s gone dark over Will’s Mother’s 🌦

I just check the skies too Dove.  OH uses an app to decide about walkies and often gets wet.........

I love a good storm as long as I'm somewhere safe and dry but poor old Bonzo crawls under the furniture and hides.   Doesn't like leccy noise and also hides when there's a power cut or blips in supply during bad weather.

Hi All, sorry been really busy. Glad you find the app useful I'm currently looking for a better one and if I find one will up date, here. Looking where the storms are at the moment are we will most likely get them some time late tomorrow night. Like you dove I can smell rain before we get it, I get a really bad headache before a storm.
