That looks brilliant, well done! Looks like you've already got a lovely garden there - in a few years it'll be wonderful. Thanks for sharing, always lovely to see others' gardens progressing like this.

AnniD said:? (Although strictly speaking,  it should be manege, but everyone says menage).
Yes that is  it AnniD and a dashy thingy over the e, but I never worried as long as the rubbery sandy area stopped me getting too hurty when I fell off :D
We called it a school,  but knew what Keran meant. :)

Was there a lot of horse poop left behind?
At least a good manuring to make it all grow would have been advantageous:D

AnnieD, no horse poop really, there was about 2inches of soil, a lot of sand and then membrane.  We had to get a concrete breaker to the soil it was that compacted!!!  :)

@Rubytoo, l couldn't find the dashy thing ! 😁 Luckily "in my day" we wrote our answers using a pen, so l could do all the dashy things, the upside down v things, and the two dot umlauty things in German. Different times.....
Anyway,  back on topic,  shame about the lack of horse poo.......😁

Where I used to ride, I was always amused by the sign in the manege that said:  "Please pick up your droppings."  Did they think the horses could not only read but also wield a rake and shovel, or did they think the riders would use the manege as a toilet?

Beautiful garden to be very proud of @keran, something that would have taken most people including me months and months to do. Do please keep sending us pics, it's fascinating watching progress.

We are on the Yorkshire Wolds, about 20 miles from York  :)
We were thinking of an Arbor, but settled on a wooden hut that should be arriving soon to go in the main area that is soil at the moments, as it is very open and very hot in the Summer. To be honest I am now thinking of adding a greenhouse/potting shed in the corner.
The path is just membrane, hardcore and then gravel.  My hubby put concrete down on the sides and then attached pieces of wood that I then stained.
Thank you for all of the wonderful comments it really means a lot.  I will send more pics as we progress  :)
